My current video card running out of my agp slot has started artificacting, many cards are not even that good on the agp slot anymore. I need to know the most affordable high quality card that i can get for a pci express slot, i am thinking nvidia? Thanks|||Are you sure you have a PCIExpress slot?
There are only a very small handful of motherboards out there that has both AGP and PCIExpress slots using VIA chipsets.
Hopefully you are not confusing non-express PCI classic slots with PCIExpress-- AGP motherboards usually have non-express PCI slots, and those will NOT work with PCIExpress cards.
It would be a shame for you to buy a nice expensive PCIExpress card only to find that you can't use it in your machine.|||you are correct use NVIDIA GeForce 6400 or better
also, Radeon card work good but are a little more pricey|||NVidia 6 series i ahve a GTX 285 and this thing is pimp it was about 300 dollars|||hi my video card went out so i had to get a new i would recommend this video card http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d… . it is a great normal video card that fits in the PCI Express slot and it not that pricey
