Can i have 2 video cards in my computer? My old video card is built in and i want to buy an nvidia pci card.?

I have a computer with and old video card and i plan to buy a Geforce FX5200. I can't remove the old video card because it's built into the computer. So can i just plug the new one into my pci slot and start using it?|||1 st person left out something...... go in to bios and disable the on board vga because it will still use system ram even though you are not using it anymore......if you can't disable it try to lower it so it will not use as much ram............|||Yes, when you install the new video card uninstall the previous video card's drivers and plug the monitor into the NEW video card. Both video cards cannot operate simultaneously but removal of the on-board card is not necessary.

Rarely you have to make a change in the bios settings.|||that card sucks just so you know and make sure your power supply is able to power it.
