I have a PCI slot does that mean I can use PCI-e video cards also?

I have a radeon 9200 pci and I was wanting to upgrade to x1300 pci-e can I?|||nope not unless you have a PCI-e slot as well. A PCI-e slot is different than a PCI slot. You probably don't have one if you've been using a PCI card. You would have to upgrade your motherboard. Also, if you gave us the model and make of your Motherboard we could tell you for sure if you had the capability to run a PCI-e Video Card. Good Luck HTH.|||No. PCI and PCI-e are different thing and the slots are different too.|||PCI and PCI-e slots are different. Unless your mobo has PCI-e slots u cannot use the graphic card.|||NO! a pci slot is not the same as agp or pci-e. They are not interchangable. They simpley will not fit into each others slot!!|||you cannot use a regular PCI slot for a PCIe video card, you must have a PCI e slot available
