Is a PCI Express 2.0 video card compatible with a PCI Express x16 slot?

I'm planning to buy a GeForce 8800GT but I just noticed that it is a PCI Express 2.0 card. I have a PCI Express x16 slot and is just wondering if the GeForce 8800 GT will work on my slot.|||YES.
